What a machine learning project really needs

A model that holds up in production depends on four things. Most ML projects fail on the first and the last, not the middle.

Step 1

The right problem

A question framed in business terms with a clear, measurable target and a plan for the decision it drives.

Step 2

Good data

Clean, relevant, well-engineered features, because model quality is capped by data quality.

Step 3

Sound modelling

The right technique, properly validated against honest tests, not just a high score on paper.

Step 4

MLOps

Deployment, monitoring and retraining so the model keeps performing as the world changes.

Machine learning finds the patterns in your data that people and dashboards miss, then puts them to work predicting what happens next and recommending what to do about it. As a machine learning development company, Anviam builds predictive models, recommendation engines, computer vision and natural language processing that are trained on your data and deployed where they drive decisions, not left to stall in a notebook.

Our data scientists and ML engineers own the full lifecycle: framing the problem in business terms, preparing and engineering the data, training and validating models, then deploying and monitoring them with proper MLOps so accuracy holds up once real traffic hits. The emphasis throughout is on a measurable lift in accuracy, efficiency or revenue.

Whether you want to forecast demand, score leads, detect fraud, recommend the next best action or read images and documents at scale, we build the model that fits your data and the pipeline that keeps it reliable in production.

Predictive analytics and forecasting

Predictive models turn your history into foresight: what demand will look like next month, which customers are likely to churn, which leads are worth chasing, what a property or claim is worth. We build predictive and forecasting models that give your team a reliable, quantified view of what is coming, so decisions are driven by evidence rather than instinct.

We frame each prediction around the decision it informs and the action it enables, then validate honestly so you know how much to trust it. The payoff is tighter planning, less waste and effort focused where it pays off.

  • Demand and sales forecasting
  • Churn and retention prediction
  • Lead and customer scoring
  • Price and value estimation
  • Risk and default prediction
  • Honest validation and confidence

Recommendation systems

Recommendation engines lift revenue by showing the right thing to the right person at the right moment: products, content, offers or next best actions tailored to each user. We build recommenders that learn from behaviour and context and improve as they gather data, whether for an ecommerce catalogue, a content platform or an internal tool.

We tune recommenders to your real goal, order value, engagement or retention, and measure the uplift against a baseline so you know they are earning their place. We also handle the practical challenges, cold starts, sparse data and relevance, that decide whether a recommender actually works.

  • Product and content recommendations
  • Personalisation engines
  • Next-best-action models
  • Cold-start and sparse-data handling
  • Relevance and ranking tuning
  • Measured uplift against a baseline

Computer vision

Computer vision lets software see: inspecting products for defects, reading documents and forms, counting and tracking objects, verifying identity and classifying images at a scale and speed no human team could match. We build and train vision models on your imagery and deploy them where they cut manual effort and raise consistency.

From quality control on a production line to document extraction and visual search, we handle data labelling, model training and the deployment pipeline. Every build is validated on your real conditions, lighting, angles and edge cases, so it performs in the field, not just in the lab.

  • Image classification and tagging
  • Object detection and counting
  • Defect and quality inspection
  • Document and form extraction (OCR)
  • Visual search
  • Validation on real-world conditions

Natural language processing (NLP)

Most businesses sit on a mountain of text, emails, tickets, reviews, documents and chat, that no one has time to read. NLP turns that text into structured insight and action: classifying and routing messages, extracting key information, gauging sentiment, and summarising at scale. We build NLP models tuned to your language, domain and workflow.

Where a large language model is the better tool, we say so and build with it, and where a focused, lightweight model is faster and cheaper, we use that. The goal is the same: get the signal out of your text and into your decisions and systems.

  • Text classification and routing
  • Information and entity extraction
  • Sentiment and intent analysis
  • Summarisation at scale
  • Topic and theme detection
  • Domain-tuned language models

Data preparation and feature engineering

Model quality is capped by data quality, which is why we spend real effort here. We assess, clean and shape your data, handle gaps and inconsistencies, and engineer the features that give a model something meaningful to learn from. This unglamorous work is usually what separates a model that performs from one that disappoints.

We also build the pipelines that keep data flowing reliably into the model in production, so the inputs stay as clean and consistent as they were in training. Good data engineering underneath is what makes the model trustworthy on day one and every day after.

  • Data assessment and cleaning
  • Handling gaps and inconsistencies
  • Feature engineering and selection
  • Training and test-set design
  • Reliable production data pipelines
  • Data quality monitoring

Model deployment, MLOps and monitoring

A model only creates value once it is in production and trusted. We deploy models as reliable services or batch pipelines, integrate them into your systems, and put proper MLOps around them: versioning, automated retraining, and monitoring for accuracy, drift and performance. This is how a model keeps earning its keep rather than quietly decaying.

Because the world changes, we watch for the moment a model's accuracy starts to slip and retrain before it becomes a problem. You get a model that is not just launched but maintained, with plain-English reporting on how it is performing.

  • Model deployment as services or pipelines
  • System and application integration
  • Versioning and reproducibility
  • Accuracy and drift monitoring
  • Automated retraining
  • Plain-English performance reporting

How we deliver machine learning

  1. 01

    Frame the problem

We define the decision, the target and how success will be measured.

  2. 02

    Prepare the data

We assess, clean and engineer the data that the model will learn from.

  3. 03

    Build the model

We choose the right technique, train it and validate it honestly.

  4. 04

    Test on reality

We check performance on real-world conditions and edge cases.

Frequently asked questions

What is machine learning development?

It is building models that learn patterns from your data and use them to predict outcomes or make decisions, then deploying and maintaining those models in production. It covers predictive analytics, recommendation systems, computer vision and natural language processing, plus the data preparation and MLOps that make them reliable.

How is machine learning different from generative AI?

Generative AI, built on large language models, creates new content such as text or images and is strong at language tasks. Machine learning more broadly covers predictive, classification and recommendation models trained on your structured and unstructured data. They overlap, and we choose, or combine, whichever fits your problem best.

How much data do we need?

It depends on the problem. Some predictive and classification tasks need a reasonable volume of clean, labelled history; others work with less. In the first phase we assess your data honestly and tell you whether it is sufficient, what needs improving, or whether a different approach fits your situation better.

What is MLOps and why does it matter?

MLOps is the practice of deploying, versioning, monitoring and retraining models reliably in production. It matters because a model's accuracy drifts as the world changes, so without monitoring and retraining it quietly decays. Proper MLOps is the difference between a model that keeps earning its keep and one that fails silently.

Can you deploy a model into our existing systems?

Yes. We deploy models as services or batch pipelines and integrate them into your applications, data platform and workflows, so predictions and recommendations appear where your team and systems already work. We also set up the data pipelines that feed the model reliably.

How do you make sure a model actually works?

We validate honestly against held-out data and, for vision and other real-world tasks, against the real conditions the model will meet, lighting, edge cases and messy inputs. We measure business lift against a baseline, not just a score on paper, and monitor performance after launch.

How long does a machine learning project take?

A focused model on good data can reach a useful first version in a few weeks, with a proof of concept often sooner. Projects that need heavy data preparation or labelling take longer. We usually start with a scoped pilot that proves value before investing in a full production build.

Do we own the models you build?

Yes. We build on your data and your stack and hand over the models and pipelines, so you own them. We can continue to monitor and retrain them under a support arrangement, or hand everything to your in-house team.
